Welcome to DR WILLIAM BOOTHE

DR WILLIAM BOOTHECataracts are degenerative changes in the structure of the eye that form when protein in the lens begins to clump together, clouding a small area of the eye. This cloud will continue to grow and interfere with vision. They can occur in one or both eyes. While the most common cause of cataracts is age, they can also be caused by eye trauma, certain medications, and various environmental and lifestyle factors. Additionally, some cataracts are congenital. DR WILLIAM BOOTHERetinoblastoma is cancer of the eye. It affects the retina, a thin membrane in the back of eye that works like a camera, making a picture of what we see. Some children have retinoblastoma that runs in families. It usually occurs in only one eye, but sometimes affects both eyes.If you have always had good vision and now find yourself over 40 and needing glasses, especially for reading or if you have been wearing glasses for distance vision and now find you are losing your close up vision you may be developing presbyopia. This is simply an unavoidable condition where the eye's ability to focus on near object diminishes as we get a little older!
